New applications for solar and energy storage

There are many developing technologies and new applications in the always evolving solar and energy storage fields.  Come learn about the following applications:

  • EV Charging
  • Home Area Networks & Demand Response
  • Ancillary Services from Electric Storage
  • Distribution Automation (conservation voltage reduction and fault isolation)
  • Solar power and inverter integration

While at Solar Grid Storage, one of our speaker's milestone projects was the building of The GridStar Center in cooperation with Penn State University at The Philadelphia Navy Yard.   GridStar a DOE sponsored full scale Micro Grid Facility was built to accelerate the commercialization of renewable energy, Advanced Inverter and Advanced Energy Storage technologies through Education, Workforce Development, Demonstration and Certification Programs.  The meeting will conclude with a tour of the Gridstar facility and the technology and applications that are in place today.  more information on the GridStar facility can be found here:

Speaker:  Don Bradley Jr.

Before Joining Alstom Grid, Don was Founder of an Innovative company   (Solar Grid Storage) that dramatically increased the understanding, marketability and value of deploying Renewable Energy MicroGrids with advanced inverter and energy Storage systems with commercial / military / industrial / utility solar projects by identifying and monetizing new and untapped revenue streams that reduced installed coasts and enabled energy surety and security.  The challenge that drive’s Don now, is to identify that additional “Stack of Benefits” and  bring those additional values to our customers and development partners.

 Meeting Sponsor: Community Energy, Inc.
